Short answer: A membership at Adisi Health Center is the most committed way to heal faster from stubborn pain or a sports injury. Instead of booking one therapy at a time, you get a set amount of treatment time every week, combining up to four therapies per visit, including Storz shockwave, LightForce Class IV laser, Storz EMTT, and Winback TECAR, with Dr. Petzel at every visit. The Recovery Membership is $1,299 a month for 1 hour of therapy per week. Premium is $2,199 a month for 2 hours per week, including 2 shockwave sessions. Both have a 3-month minimum and very limited spots. Start with a free 20-minute phone consult or call (630) 887-1900.

Who is a membership for?

Memberships are built for patients who want to get back to full strength faster, not wait months for an injury to settle on its own. They are a serious recovery plan, not a “check-in once a month” program. They tend to fit people who:

  • Have tendon or joint pain that hasn’t improved with rest, stretching, or injections, such as plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy, or shoulder pain
  • Are dealing with more than one problem area at once, like a sore low back and a sore knee
  • Are athletes, runners, golfers, or tennis players with a season, race, or event coming up
  • Have a demanding job or busy family life and can’t afford to lose months to pain
  • Already know these therapies help them and want consistent, frequent care at a set monthly price

Why combine shockwave, laser, EMTT and TECAR?

Each therapy works on a different part of the problem, and Adisi Health Center is the only clinic in Hinsdale and the western suburbs offering all four under one roof:

  • Shockwave therapy (Storz radial and focused) is our most powerful treatment for stubborn tendon and joint pain.
  • LightForce XLi Class IV laser uses high-intensity infrared and near-infrared light to reach deep into damaged tissue.
  • Storz Magnetolith EMTT uses high-energy pulsed magnetic fields that pass through soft tissue and bone to reach deep joint structures and dense tendon insertions.
  • Winback TECAR creates deep warmth inside muscle and fascia.

These are the same kinds of therapies found in professional sports team training rooms, now available to everyday patients in Hinsdale. With a membership, Dr. Petzel can mix them in a single visit, up to four per visit, and change the mix as your tissue responds.

How is a membership different from paying per session?

You always have options. Here’s how they compare, using the prices on our Pricing page:

  • Single sessions: Shockwave is $200 per session. Laser, EMTT, or TECAR is $115 per session.
  • Packages: A 6-session shockwave pack is $1,050 ($175 per session; a typical course is 6 treatments). Laser, EMTT, and TECAR packs can be mixed and matched: 10 sessions for $920 or 20 sessions for $1,700.
  • Memberships: A set amount of therapy time every week, with up to 4 therapies combined per visit, including shockwave.

Paying per session works well for a single, focused problem. A membership makes the most sense when you want frequent, combined treatment every week so you can heal faster, and when you’d rather have a plan than decide visit by visit.

What happens between visits?

Healing doesn’t stop when you leave the office. Dr. Petzel builds an at-home exercise program for your specific condition and sends it through the Physitrack app. You get your own login on your phone or computer, with video demos of each exercise, sets and reps, and reminders. You’ll also complete short outcome questionnaires so we can measure your progress, and Dr. Petzel updates your program as you improve.

How do I get started?

  1. Free phone consult. A 20-minute call with Dr. Petzel to review your history, condition, and goals. No cost and no obligation. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you.
  2. In-person evaluation. A full exam and treatment plan with your first treatment included, for $249. You’ll leave with a clear plan and a recommended option.
  3. Choose your plan. Pick the membership, package, or pay-as-you-go option that fits what your condition needs.
  4. Track and progress. Your at-home program and outcome questionnaires live in Physitrack, and Dr. Petzel adjusts your plan as your tissue responds.

Is every therapy safe for everyone?

No, and that’s why every plan starts with an evaluation. Dr. Petzel reviews your full health history and picks only the therapies that are right for you. Depending on the therapy, treatment is generally not used:

  • During pregnancy
  • Over a known or suspected tumor or cancer
  • With a pacemaker, neurostimulator, or other implanted electronic device (EMTT and TECAR)
  • Over an active infection, burn, or broken skin
  • With a bleeding or clotting disorder or blood-thinning medication, unless cleared first (shockwave and TECAR)
  • Over metal implants in the treatment area, unless cleared first (shockwave and EMTT)
  • Over open growth plates in children and teens (shockwave)
  • On a tendon that may be torn. A sudden “pop” with weakness needs imaging and an orthopedic opinion first.

Mild, temporary soreness, redness, or tingling after shockwave is common and usually fades within a day or two.
