Published research: In a 2015 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 250 people with chronic plantar fasciitis (Gollwitzer et al., J Bone Joint Surg Am, PMID 25948515), heel pain twelve weeks after the last of three weekly focused shockwave sessions was reduced by 69.2% in the shockwave group versus 34.5% in the placebo group (p = 0.0027).

What does a membership cost, and what’s the commitment?
The Recovery Membership is $1,299/month with a 3-month minimum. Autopay runs on the 1st of each month. Need more? The Premium Membership is $2,199/month (also a 3-month minimum).
Do you take insurance?
Membership services are cash pay (HSA & FSA accepted) — no insurance billing, so no runaround or surprise bills. Chiropractic adjustments are separate and billed to insurance (BCBS PPO in-network).
Is shockwave painful?
Most patients experience only mild discomfort. Sessions are non-invasive and there is no downtime. We recommend avoiding high-impact activity for 24–48 hours after each session.
Is it FDA cleared?
Yes. The Storz Medical shockwave devices used at Adisi Health Center are FDA-cleared. Individual results vary.
I recently had a cortisone shot. Can I start?
You must wait at least 6 weeks after your last cortisone injection before shockwave therapy. Tell us about any recent injections when you book your New Patient Special.

Tell us if you have any of the following: pregnancy; a bleeding disorder or you take blood thinners; infection, an open wound or a tumor in the treatment area; a pacemaker or implant near the treatment site.
